Gramvousa or Krambousa is an islet located in the area of the island of Thassos. It is opposite and at a very short distance, from the area of the traditional settlement of Potamia. According to tradition, Saint Daniel lived there in Thassios. In fact, there are ruins of a church attributed to the monastery, which the saint was the founder of. In 1991, in an effort to highlight the saint, on the initiative of the then vicar of Potamia, Priest Sotirios Th. Vasiloudis, a church dedicated to the memory of the saint was erected. On September 12 there is a great festival dedicated to the saint's memory.
